CHICKEN WITH SNOW PEAS

PORTIONS 3

INGREDIENTS

16 oz. chicken, skinless, deboned and cut in thin strips
10 oz. snow peas, cut ends
1 carrot, peeled and cut into long matchsticks
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1 tsp. sesame oil
1 onion sliced
3 garlic cloves chopped
1 tsp. ginger, peeled finely chopped
2 cups chicken broth
½ tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. ground pepper
3 tbsp. soy sauce
2 ½ tbsp. cornstarch
2 ½ tbsp. water

PREPARATION
Marinate the chicken with 1 tbsp of soy sauce.
In a wok or frying pan, heat up at medium flame the vegetable and sesame oil.
Add onions and garlic, cook it for 30 seconds without burning it.
Add chicken and brown it.
Add chicken broth, salt, pepper, the rest of the soy sauce.
Once the sauce starts to boil, add the snow peas and carrots. Mix and cook until the snow peas until it has a bright green color.
Mix well the cornstarch with cold water and stir it into the sauce. Let it cook for 1 minute. Turn off the flame and serve.
