THIS RECIPE IS BASED

PORK AND CHICKEN MEATBALLS WITH FIRE CRACKER SAUCE
PORK AND CHICKEN MEATBALLS WITH FIRE CRACKER SAUCE
YIELD: 12 MEATBALLS.
INGREDIENTS FOR THE
MEATBALLS
8 oz. ground pork
8 oz. ground chicken
2 minced garlic
cloves
½ cup finely chopped
onions
1 tbsp. chopped
cilantro
1 egg beaten
½ cup Panko bread
crumbs
½ tsp. paprika
½ tsp. ground pepper
1½ tbsp. salt
FIRE CRACKER SAUCE
½ cup hot sauce
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp. apple cider
vinegar
¼ tsp. salt
½ tsp. red pepper
flakes
METHOD
MEATBALLS
Weight and cut
ingredients for the recipe.
Spray with vegetable
oil a baking sheet pan.
Preheat the oven at
450° F.
Mix all the
ingredients together and make 12 meatballs. Arrange the meatballs in the baking
pan and brown the meatballs in the oven. Turn the meatballs around to cook them
evenly.
SAUCE
In a small pot mix
all the ingredients for the sauce. Bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat and let
it simmer for 6 minutes.
Place the meatballs
in the sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes
TO SERVE
You can serve the
meatballs as appetizer. Place the meatballs in small platter, pour sauce over
it and place a toothpicks on top the meatballs.
You may serve it
like a main dish with mashed potatoes.
